IVINS, UTAH - Sharon Katheleen (Phillips) Kosek, age 68, died peacefully on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah. She was born October 21, 1943 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Charles Elmer and Ebba Henriksen Phillips. She graduated from Harding High School in St. Paul, class of ‘61.

Sharon married her soul mate Richard Kosek on August 29, 1964 in St. Paul and they were happily married for over 48 years. She worked for 3M Company for 26 years. Richard and Sharon lived in Hastings, Minnesota for over 25 years and chose to retire to Ivins, Utah in October 1999.

Sharon was proud of her Norwegian heritage belonging to the Sons of Norway for over 30 years in St. Paul and Las Vegas. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, of Ivins, Utah; one daughter, Judy and Rick DeLello of Lansdale, Pennsylvania and one son, James and JoAnn Kosek of Camas, Washington; four grandchildren, Matt (11) and Joey (9) DeLello and Alexandra (18) and Jimmy (12) Kosek; one sister, Marcie Dombrock of Owatonna, Minnesota and one brother, Robert Phillips of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Cremation services have taken place. Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minnesota at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Pine View Mortuary (435) 986-4222.
